In preparing for emergencies, we talk a lot about alternative fuel supplies and methods for cooking our food if the standard electrical power goes out long-term.  But we don't always talk much about storing fresh food in that same scenario.  If your oven doesn't work, chances are your frig isn't working either.  So what do you do to store your fresh food, say some produce you grew in the garden?  Go old school with your refrigeration and use evaporative cooling!
