SL County Flood Zones - Are You Prepared?

Tuesday, April 12, 2011
The latest predictions are that we have more water and snow than we know what to do with this year, and many have predicted that this year's spring runoff could rival that of the 1983 floods, or worse. County officials are asking communities and citizens to prepare NOW, so that when the runoff begins in a few weeks, we will be a few steps ahead (hopefully) and can avoid as much damage as possible.

If you live in Salt Lake County, you can go to the Salt Lake County Emergency Management site to get a map of FEMA flood plains, and a list of what preparations are being made.
